AI Tinkery Mentors
Peer-to-Peer AI Upskilling
AI Tinkery Mentors are Stanford students from diverse disciplines who dedicate a few hours each week to fostering AI exploration in the AI Tinkery. As a mentor, you'll lead workshops, provide 1:1 consultations, and contribute to hands-on projects that experiment with and evaluate opportunities for generative AI in education.
Why Become a Mentor?
As an AI Tinkery Mentor, you'll have the opportunity to:
- Deepen your understanding of generative AI by teaching and applying it in real-world scenarios.
- Join a vibrant, interdisciplinary community of everyday AI practitioners, educators, and innovators.
- Gain valuable mentorship and leadership experience that enhances your academic and professional growth.
Who Should Apply?
We welcome Stanford students from all disciplines who are:
- Curious about AI’s role in learning, creativity, and problem-solving.
- You enjoy integrating AI into your own workflows—whether for writing, coding, design, research, or beyond—and want to share your insights with others.
- You believe in making AI more accessible and want to empower others to explore its potential in ways that align with their needs, interests, and values.
- AI is evolving rapidly, and we value mentors who are open to learning alongside their peers while fostering a supportive community of exploration and experimentation.
